This is an exciting opportunity to join our facilities team in a forward-thinking school with a proven reputation for innovation and excellence. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of team management and a collaborative approach to working with multiple stakeholders.

The Head of Domestic Services is responsible for the day to day management of the domestic services department, supports and report to the Facilities Director. You will ensure the domestic arrangements for the senior and prep school are of the highest standard and that all classrooms, changing rooms and rest rooms are prepared to an excellent quality. You will manage a team of school housekeepers, oversees the contract cleaning team and the school laundry. Management and stock ordering experience are essential and a BISCs supervisory qualification would be desirable.

Collegiate is a thriving co-educational day school on the outskirts of Bristol, easily accessible from the motorway network and with approximately 800 students aged from 3 to 18. The Senior School occupies a glorious thirty-acre campus and has all of its sporting facilities on-site.

This post is offered as a permanent contract starting in January 2023.

The hours for this position are working 40 hours per week. The exact timings will be discussed, however anticipated to be from 5am until 2pm, from Monday to Friday, with 1 hour unpaid for lunch/breaks. Flexibility in working hours is required with early mornings and occasional weekend and evening hours to cover school events.

Other benefits include 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays per year based on full time hours, lunch during term time, free parking on site, a defined contribution pension scheme and staff remission on school fees in accordance with the staff remission policy.
