The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to raise standards of student attainment and achievement in Performing Arts and to monitor and support student progress.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

● To lead the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work and teaching and learning strategies in Performing Arts which reflect the school’s commitment to high achievement through effective teaching and learning.

● To keep up to date with national developments in subject areas and teaching practice and methodology.

● To ensure that staff development needs are identified and that appropriate programmes are designed to meet such needs.

Harwich and Dovercourt High School (HDHS) is a popular, mixed 11-18 comprehensive situated on the north-east Essex coast. As one of the only Reading Schools in the country, we are bursting with innovative practice designed to nourish a love of literature and this forms a cornerstone of our curriculum in all subject areas.
