We are passionate about learning and transforming the lives of our young people. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Headteacher from 22nd April 2022. 

The successful candidate will have strong leadership strengths and will be passionate about making that vital difference to the lives of young people in our school and their families. They will embrace our core values and have the ability and enthusiasm to effectively lead the secondary school towards achieving excellent outcomes. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience of working with pupils with complex, severe and moderate learning difficulties. 

Oak Wood Secondary School is an oversubscribed very successful generic special secondary school. The school has increased its pupil numbers over the past two years.  Currently there are 162 pupils on role and this is due to further increase over the next academic year. Oak Wood Secondary School is part Central England Academy Trust and shares the site with its sister school, Oak Wood Primary School. In addition, the Trust manages Jade School which is a specialist Young Person’s Unit at Brooklands NHS Hospital. 

Central England Academy Trust will offer the successful candidate support and training to further develop their professional practice and membership of the Trust Executive Team.
