Job overview

We are seeking applications for a Learning Support Coordinator at a leading contemporary independent, co-educational, and non-denominational Pre-K to Year 12 School in the Hills District. Their ethos is underpinned by humanitarian values and its major emphasis is the development of excellence in scholarship, personal development, and citizenship. Their mission focuses on the development of the whole person and it is in this context that learning is seen as a lifelong process with our goal being to develop graduates who are accomplished and confident and have a love of learning.  About the Role: 

• Permanent, Full-time or Part-time role (negotiable)

• Commencing Term 2, 2021

• Preference for candidates who have a Postgraduate academic qualification in Gifted Education and Special Education

• Not Suitable for Newly Qualified Graduates

• Promoting an inclusive educational environment through collaboration, oversight, and monitoring of students with additional needs, including specific disabilities and learning support.


Selection Criteria: 

• Be qualified and experienced working in Learning Support in Australia

• Proven success in leading a team, with excellent collegial, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Professional with high ethics when working with staff, students, and their families

• Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have the appropriate Visa conditions to work unrestricted within the country

• Be registered, or have the ability to be registered with NESA and WWCC 

• Ability to provide current and relevant teaching references from Middle Management/Executive Leadership level (please note referees will not be contacted prior to your express approval, and all applications are treated in complete confidentiality)

• Have the right to work in Australia
