Job Title: Art Teacher

Salary: £24,000 per annum (Pro Rata)

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours: 3 days per week - Hours are negotiable

Become a Art Teacher at 3 Dimensions School, Chardleigh House, part of Acorn Education and Care and start working towards yours.

3 Dimensions School is an approved, independent special school for students aged 7 – 25 years. Our approach enables each young person to achieve their full potential. Education programs are individualised and personalised to each and every young person.

We require a qualified Art Teacher to join our team. Someone who is enthusiastic, energetic and creative. An art teacher who can think ‘out of the box’ and who can see the potential in every one of our students.

Ideally you will have art teaching experience, and have the ability to motivate our young learners. You will need to consider the broad field of arts and crafts, extending to aspects of DT, and including textiles and sculpting when planning and delivering art projects.

You will be able to work and manage a classroom alone, in addition to working alongside our wonderful staff team.

Experience of teaching across a diverse range of learners and age groups is desirable; EYFS, primary and secondary.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be a qualified Art teacher (ideally with PGCE or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate recent experience as an Art Teacher or trainee Art Teacher
  • Hold an honours degree or equivalent in B.Ed.
  • Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high
  • Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies

We are in an exciting phase of our journey at 3 Dimensions. Our school is growing and this allows us to offer provision to more students. Therefore, please understand that we require our staff to have a positive, proactive, and flexible working approach.

We welcome applications from all interested candidates who feel that they can add value to this school and can prosper in this highly effective, fast-paced environment.
