Montessori Trained Upper Elementary Teacher (Ages 9-12 / Grades 4-6)

Montessori By The Sea  (MBTS) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Montessori certified Upper Elementary teacher for August 2022.

Located on the seaside in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, Montessori By The Sea  has been providing excellent, inspired and child-centered education to our island's children and families for over 20 years. It offers the most firmly-established, comprehensive and internationally-recognized Montessori program in the country, growing with the child from the Toddler years through to Upper Elementary (21 months to 12 years old). In May 2021, Montessori By The Sea was rated Excellent in every category of evaluation by the Cayman Islands Office of Education Standards , making it the only primary school in the country to earn this distinction.

The applicant must possess Montessori Elementary certification (6-12 or 9-12; AMI, AMS or MACTE).. 

A deep respect for children, a zest for learning, and the ability to facilitate a learning environment that deftly balances inquiry-based learning and academic rigor would be essential in this role; a Bachelor's Degree in Education (BEd) would be a strong asset.
