Unsted Park School is a specialist residential and day school/ Sixth Form college, for children and young people with Autism and related needs.  We are committed to providing the highest level of education and care in a safe, positive environment that enables each individual to achieve his or her maximum potential.

The focus of the whole school approach is in three core areas: education, independence and inclusion. Based on these core areas we provide individual, person-centred programmes which recognise individual abilities and strengths and help students to reach their full potential. 

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and strongly motivated Occupational Therapist, who wants to further develop their skills and knowledge within a specialist education setting, working holistically to plan and deliver a therapy programme for young people between the ages of 7 to 19.  You will be expected to facilitate group work as well as working with individual students, liaising with curriculum staff and other professionals to support integrated programmes for all our learners. You must be registered with the British Association of Occupational Therapists and have HPC registration. Clinical Supervision will be provided to support your role. 

We require applicants to:

  • Experience of working with students with complex sensory needs.
  • Have good written and spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills and be able to work well within a staff team.
  • She/he must be aware of her/his own strengths and areas for development and be proactive in filling their own gaps in knowledge.
  • All applicants must be fully-qualified Occupational Therapy Practitioners, members of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and any other relevant governing bodies.

Proof of membership and a recent Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) will be required upon successful appointment.
