This is an opportunity for a suitably technically skilled and personable candidate to join our vibrant and high achieving PE team. Your role will be to work closely with the teaching staff to ensure equipment is in place, support within lessons where required and assist with the organisation and administration of the department. The successful post holder will have a keen interest in sport and be willing to undertake first aid training and support students with first aid as required. You will be able to act on your own initiative, work as part of a team and on your own and have the admin skills required to support the department.

Bournemouth School for Girls is a selective secondary grammar school located in Bournemouth, Dorset. With around 1100 pupils on roll, including 300 in the Sixth Form, Bournemouth School for Girls is larger than the average secondary grammar. The school converted to academy status in 2011, and is now part of the South West Academic Trust. The trust includes a large number of grammar schools across the region, and is directly affiliated with Exeter University. The school can boast of a wide range of facilities, including large playing fields shared with a local boys’ school.

As a selective institution, the school sets a high academic standard for entry. Potential applicants are expected to pass a number of tests - Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning. Entrance to the Sixth Form is open to external applications, pending GCSE results. The school itself offers a high-quality academic curriculum for its students, supported both by strong facilities and proper careers guidance.
