PRIMARY ART SPECIALIST
The Garden International School (TGIS), a progressive and growing international school in Guangzhou, China requires professional and skilled teachers for children ages between 2 and 10 years of age.
TGIS currently consists of one Primary School and one Kindergarten on separate sites in the south of the city. Both schools are led by an experienced international school director, with a supportive Board. The Kindergarten is an IB World School (PYP), and Primary will become a PYP candidate school in the near future. TGIS offers an inquiry-based, bi-lingual (Mandarin/English) education to mainly local students.
Vacancy for February 2018
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified, native level English-speaking Primary Art Specialist OR Primary class teacher with strong interest in teaching Art to co-teach with our excellent Chinese teacher/s. Must be committed to working in a dynamic environment. Candidate must be able to be eligible to register as an overseas teacher working in China such as B.A. or B.Ed or Masters degree in Art and Design or Art Education, General Primary Education, PGCE/PGDE, with two years of working experience, and appropriate criminal records clearance).
Successful experience of EAL will be a significant advantage.
Successful applicants will be employed on an initial 18 month contract (with possibility of renewal). The employment package will include:
