Are you a highly skilled, dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of History looking for an exciting new opportunity?

As Principal Teacher of History, you will have responsibility for overseeing all aspects of History at Key Stages 4 and 5, alongside working with a team of Principal Teachers overseeing KS3 Humanities.

To be successful, you will have a passion for your subject and have the motivation and energy to lead a team of teachers, improving student outcomes. Dedicated to all students, you’ll ensure that they get the support and encouragement they need to succeed. Excellent communication skills with both students and staff will be essential in order to develop a positive, hardworking and productive department, and relationships with our students are an essential key to their success. 

Experience with some aspects of curriculum development would be beneficial.

About Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre

Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2,100 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside.
