SUMMARY OF ROLE/EXPECTATIONS 

We are looking for a candidate for July 2023 who has the expertise, experience and passion to collaboratively deliver a comprehensive school counselling program with a focus on personal and college/career counselling in a diverse, residential school environment. 

The School Counselor is expected to: 

1.     Be committed to the vision of the Academy and our distinct educational philosophy.

2.     Be excited about the opportunity to develop quality approaches to pastoral care.

3.     Play an active role in the residential life of a thriving school community which values and celebrates the diversity of its staff and students. 

Required: 

1·        Sound understanding of Child Protection legislation and practice.

2·        Current professional registration and membership with relevant professional bodies.

3·        The ability to provide informed guidance around child/adolescent wellbeing.

4·        Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

5·        Experience of working successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
