Job overview
Part-time and Flexible Working Patterns considered
Aspire is a Pupil Referral Unit spread over four sites in High Wycombe, Chesham and Aylesbury. Aspire provide 'outstanding' alternative educational provision and support for secondary age students. Students attend full or part-time and are referred to us by schools and the Local Authority. Our focus is to support young people, together with their families and schools, to reach beyond their potential and enable them to flourish by developing positive behaviours, attitudes and aspirations.
These are exciting times for education and Aspire is rising to the challenges and is looking for talented Teachers/Aspiring Teachers to help provide a positive learning environment for its pupils.
If you have the passion for making sure every pupil succeeds, care about each pupil, believe in inclusion and have the drive to work within an environment that can be challenging and yet is always rewarding then we would be pleased to receive your application.
Preferably, you will be a qualified teacher and will have experience of Teaching and developing various aspects of Teaching in a mainstream school and/or a PRU, but applications are also welcome from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and Aspiring Teachers. Part-time and Flexible Working Patterns, including fixed term contracts, will be considered to suit the individual. Applications are welcome from both the Primary and Secondary School Teachers.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and education of our students and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check and references will be required along with the completion of a Health Questionnaire.
Aspire has been recognised by Ofsted as “Outstanding”. We are proud of our achievements and our students thrive in small teaching groups and a safe learning environment
For further information and to arrange a visit to the school, please contact Sarah Holding, Deputy Headteacher on 01296 387318 or gworkman1@bucksgfl.org.uk
Closing Date: 7 February 2018.
Interviews: To be conducted as soon as possible on an individual basis on receipt of application to enable notice to be handed in to your current employer by the Spring Half Term.
