Teacher of Business Studies

One Term Fixed Term Contract

Part Time (0.6)

We are looking for a part time teacher of Business Studies to join our highly successful Economics and Business Studies departments for one term. The job holder will teach Business Studies and the role would be an ideal step away from full time teaching or a post with management responsibilities.

At GCSE Business Studies is taught from the AQA specification and Economics from the OCR specification. At KS5 the department teaches Applied General Business, also with AQA, and Economics from the Edexcel board. Both subjects are growing in popularity, with strong student uptake at both key stages. It is worth noting that students do not have to have done the subject at GCSE to take it in the Sixth Form.

More information about our thriving school can be found on our website.

Applicants are asked to complete and return the application form to: Sarah Nicholson (HR Department), snicholson@rmsforgirls.com

Values and vision

The Royal Masonic School sets very high standards for the academic progress of its pupils. It offers an engaging and vibrant curriculum, with a number of modern teaching facilities to help its pupils reach their full potential.

Aside from academic success, the school also highly values emotional and social intelligence, with girls being encouraged to steer their own learning and become independent and self-motivated.

ISI report

“Sharply focused assessments by experienced staff ensure that the next steps are suitably challenging for every child. A careful balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities enables most children to reach or exceed their expected levels in the seven areas of learning. Daily opportunities for outdoor learning in all of these areas are limited in the classes without immediate access to outside facilities.”
