Job overview
We are seeking to employ a well-qualified and imaginative Chemistry teacher. You will have a real love of Chemistry and be able to inspire pupils of all ages. The successful candidate will build upon our excellent public examination results and work with the department to prepare pupils for university.
Applications are equally welcome from experienced and newly qualified teachers. St Mary’s has its own generous salary scale. The position may be available from April 2018, if appropriate for the successful candidate.

St Mary's School Ascot is a leading Roman Catholic girls' boarding school set in 55 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of Berkshire. There are 120 pupils in the sixth form. We are committed to full boarding, with spaces for a few day pupils living nearby. We offer a stimulating range of co-curricular activities which take place in the evenings and throughout the weekend.
St Mary’s has a strong reputation as an academic school within the Catholic tradition. Entry to the school is selective. All pupils are expected to take 9 or 10 GCSEs, and almost all stay on for the Sixth Form to pursue their A Levels. Our leavers invariably go on to higher education, the vast majority to Russell Group universities or similar, including 10-15% to Oxbridge.
