An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Physical Education Department from September 2021 in a team-orientated school graded as ‘Good’ in all categories. (Ofsted June 2018)

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, creative and ambitious individual to join a strong and vibrant PE department. We want to hear from you if you are a Teacher of PE, or an NQT aspiring to be such a teacher.

You will join and be supported by a successful department with good outcomes, both in examination results and at competition level.

PE is a high profile department, both within the school and the wider community. Ideally you will be able to teach core PE, GCSE and possibly have experience in BTEC and A’ Level PE courses.

The successful candidate will be someone with a passion for their subject, who has excellent subject knowledge and who will inspire and engage our students across all Key Stages. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate they are an Outstanding Teacher (for NQT’s aspiring to be) with the ability to make a broader contribution to the life of our school and our extra-curricular clubs.

We are an 11-18 School, graded as Good in all categories by Ofsted  in 2014 and again in June 2018 with rising GCSE results and an increasingly academic curriculum offer.  On the 1st August 2015, we became an Academy, joining the Activate Learning Group, a well-respected provider of specialist UTC and 6th form education in the Oxfordshire region. We have very good teaching facilities, an excellent programme of CPD and are able to offer candidates the opportunity to teach across the 11-18 age range in a disciplined, orderly and supportive environment.

Teaching Schools are part of the government’s drive to give schools more freedom and to enable headteachers to take increasing responsibility for managing the education system. The Oxfordshire Teaching Schools Alliance is a partnership of Oxfordshire schools, Oxfordshire County Council, The University of Oxford, The University of Reading, Oxford Brookes University and other significant educational organisations.
