We are looking to appoint dedicated and passionate person for our award-winning College. The role will be to teach either; PE A Level, Sport CTEC Level 3: Extended Certificate/Diploma/Extended Diploma and coach on the sport enrichment provision.

John Leggott College is a thriving, successful (OFSTED Grade 2 ‘Good’) 16-19 Sixth Form College and has consistently been in the top 25% of all schools and colleges for A-Level and top 10% for BTEC. The college is located on a pleasant site in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and ten minutes from the M180, which is fed directly from the M18 and then the M1 – you would be able to commute here quite easily from most of the towns and conurbations in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, including Pontefract, Doncaster, Sheffield, Grimsby, Lincoln and Hull. The college’s learners are fantastic and JLC are looking for staff who can harness their talent inspiring them to progress and contribute to a positive culture.

The College has excellent in-house training programs for NQT’s, RQT’s and aspiring leaders, ongoing CPD opportunities inhouse and externally, and would support individuals who would be taking their first steps into teaching. The college offers a wide variety of benefits for staff, including free parking, on site catering facilities, LGPS and TPS pensions and access to a wide variety of locally agreed discounts.

John Leggott College is the best Sixth Form College in the region for students aged 16-19 offering a wide range of courses including A Levels and BTECs. John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
