**** STAGE PLAY VERSION **** This is a tried and tested Script, created for a after-school drama club. It was performed by a mixture of Lower and Upper KS2 children. It would be perfect for a Drama Club or PSHE project. It also highlights ‘first days’ and transition along with sibling and peer relationships. It has an appropriate ending to promote ‘doing the right thing’ and forgiveness I give permission for the names and genders to be changed to suit the group performing. The Greatest Showman 10 minute medley

The Greatest Showman 10 minute medley

This is a 10 minute medley that I have edited and produced. It would be great for a school performance or an assembly activity. The songs included (in order) are: The greatest show, Million Dreams, This is Me and Come Alive. There are 3 files to this resource: The Song Sheet the lyrics are in two colours, Black for solo singing parts that can be split to suit your group and Blue for the ensemble parts. The Medley MP3 This is a medley arranged by myself, it is a backing track but the original singers remain for the ensemble parts just to give the kids a bit of help. The Medley with singing MP3 I have recorded the song with vocals to show where the solo parts come in. I performed this medley with KS1 and Lower KS2 children. I split the solo parts into 3-4 lines each child, either alone or in little groups. They had no trouble learning their parts and the added ensemble vocals gave the volume needed for the big chorus parts. Please leave a review and happy singing!

Role in The Middle

Role in The Middle

A thorough look at the aims and objectives of the Drama exercise, “Role-in-the-Middle”, with guidelines, examples and rationale for experienced and inexperienced drama teachers alike. The aims are to collaborate and create a new character, or flesh out an existing character. To discover or invent the rules which lead to high quality work. A character building game, where one student, or empty chair, takes the centre, representing a blank character. Around them, other students take turns to make contributions, developing the character and filling in the blanks.

Get the day started on the “Right Foot” with this fun collection of 14 movement songs and games while you review colors, shapes, numbers, letters and more. Snow White Lesson Pack Set A

Snow White Lesson Pack Set A

Four lesson detailed plans based on the Grimm's Tale of Snow White. This pack is the first of a series of stand alone packs to use the magical story as inspirational for creative and exciting lessons for young children, this time focusing on the Magic Mirror, Drama and English activities. Most suitable for EYFS and Key Stage 1, but easily adaptable and hugely enjoyable for older children too, these lessons contain clear aims and success criteria for each session, ideas and indications for how the lessons can develop and progress. Differentiation is catered for, and specially tailored activities and tasks are included in the plans to help support and stretch all abilities. The Drama lessons ask the children to develop their skills in mirroring and copying each other, in a co-operative and happy environment, with opportunities for role-play and interaction skill development. Role-play also features in the English lessons, as they look at how to ask and answer written and oral questions. Suggested prior knowledge, requirements and resources are all included in the plans, so you can pick them up and use them, knowing exactly what you need to know, what the children to know, what you need and where you can get things from too if necessary. Notes have been added to make everything as simple as possible, so that you can use the lessons easily.

Hansel and Gretel Primary School Activity Overview

Hansel and Gretel Primary School Activity Overview

Here is a great overview of lots of activities based on the full text of the tale of Hansel and Gretel from the collection made by the Grimm brothers. There is a full introduction to the text used, with a brief historical context to the setting. I have included an approach to how to introduce the text to children, either as a read story or a performed oral tale. Following that, there are extensive activities designed for warm-up games for concentration or drama, creative activities indoors or outdoors. at Forest School or similar. Tasks include: carving, cookery, puppetry, making and following pathways, fire safety, hot chocolate and bread, having a feast, drama, problem solving, art and design, science (light and dark), poetry and understanding texts. I have included a recommended background reading for teachers interested in the history of the Grimms Tales and the more rewarding versions of the stories than the norm. Most of the activities are suitable for EYFS or Key Stage 1, but Lower Key Stage 2 would probably benefit from them too.
