Carnaval-Worksheet in french text

Carnaval-Worksheet in french text

The history and origin of the carnival are explained in a simple vocabulary. In this course, the student will need to carefully read the text, learn the difficult words and then will have to answer questions about the text, either true or false. . Additionally, the student will have to solve an exercise concerning possessive adjectives. A game of words is suggested and as usually all solutions are included in the pages reserved for the teacher.

Karaoke French Christmas songs and gap fill

Karaoke French Christmas songs and gap fill

To introduce 2 Christmas songs to your classes, hopefully have them sing along, test their listening skills (and revise some grammar!) This resource comprises : - a PowerPoint with 4 slides: - 1st= Chorus for 'Vive le vent' made into a karaoke (with a bouncy ball) - 2nd= lyrics to 'Vive le Vent' (to use for the correction of the gap fill) - 3rd = chorus for 'Petit Papa Noël' also made into a karaoke (I tend to use the version of Arthur H instead of Tino Rossi so the karaoke follows the rhythm of Arthur H's version (see the youtube video 'Arthur H Petit papa Noël tiré de la BO L'apprenti Père Noël). Obviously, it can be used without the music.) - 4th= lyrics to Petit Papa Noël The worksheets are gap fills. - 1st on Petit Papa Noël concentrates more on the prepositions, link words and some adjectives - 2nd one on Petit Papa Noël concentrates on the vocabulary -3rd one on Papa Noël concentrates on the verbs. - 4th one = lyrics to Petit Papa Noël -5th= gap fill on Vive le Vent (vocabulary) -6th = same gap fill, same words to look for, different layout. -7th = lyrics to Vive le Vent Please check my shop for more resources: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/minik66 If you buy this resource, please leave a feedback! Mon âne - French nursery rhyme / comptine

Mon âne - French nursery rhyme / comptine

The Powerpoint links to a nursery rhyme on Youtube about a donkey - Mon âne. There are a couple of slight variations with the verses, but I liked the items in this version. The song repeats so good for young learners. One screen allows you to do a splat game in teams and children can also put the items in the order they appear in the song. The worksheet encourages them to copy the words, then colour in the items, which was just right for a Friday afternoon. You could do colour by numbers if covered previously. Low attainers may need extra letters on their worksheets. Thanks to Monde des Titounis for the video. See their site for extra resources too.

Poussin piou,a ridiculously infectious little song

Poussin piou,a ridiculously infectious little song

Thanks to MFL Resources, I discovered this clip last night. It has been going round in my head ever since so I thought I'd share the insanity. A bit like a pop version of 'Old MacDonald had a farm', it will work with young children and teenagers. (Even K4s or maybe, especially K4s who need a laugh.) Included are preteaching / presinging visuals and links to the karaoke and Gangnam (!) versions as well as to a bare bones parody that might inspire older students to make a clip of their own. Please, if they do, let me know. This is an updated version of the file as two of the original links had become unresponsive.

Teachers TV: Primary French

Teachers TV: Primary French

Four fun KS2 French games offer cultural insights. ‘Give your children the confidence to perform their French, and learn alongside them’ is the approach taken to French lessons at Beam Primary in Dagenham. We see four ideas for teaching French demonstrated by Catherine Cook and Kayleigh Hartley, helped by their French foreign language assistant, Dunia Sabil. ‘Jacques a dit’ is just ‘Simon Says’ in French, with exactly the same rules. The traditional French nursery rhyme ‘Y’a une pie’ is an easy sentence to construct, and once the pupils have sung it a few times they’ll be ready to come to the front to try swapping the nouns and adverbs for new French words, making their own sentences. A little role play of a French cafe gives pupils the chance to perform their French, and prepare for foreign holidays. And finally an opportunity to learn a French dance gives pupils a wider cultural understanding of France.
