Petit Jesus - simple French song

Petit Jesus - simple French song

Simple song to the tune of Frere Jacques which uses the vocab from the flashcards I put on last year- nativity flashcards. Practise the vocab first and then get the children to choose the final line by wandering around the classroom letting them choose a flashcard. It gets them singing louder to be chosen to pick the card. We also devised actions for each verse/ flashcard. It also fits in with the nativity play.

French lesson - Numbers 1-10

French lesson - Numbers 1-10

This is a differentiated lesson on the numbers 1-10. It contains sound files so students can listen to correct pronunciation, a match up activity so students can write the vocabulary in their books, multiple choice questions to assess comprehension, anagrams to reinforce literacy and key spellings and translation of English numbers into French. There are also opportunities for practice in pairs or small groups, notes to suggest how to use the resource and explanations about key grammar. This resource could be used in class or put on a VLE for students to access the learning independently. There is also a link to a catchy French song with lyrics included. Finally, there are worksheets with 3 levels of differentiation. Tracing for the younger students through to copying for the slightly older children. There is also a cross-curricular link with maths because students have to do basic addition and subtraction.
