AI, gamified and flipped classroom in Finland

AI, gamified and flipped classroom in Finland

Finland’s new national curriculum emphasizes the use of technology and group work. Games can offer an interactive and exciting content to learners and promote co-operation in learning. Pedagogy, a digital game and videos supported the collaborative learning in the classroom and the whole school. Instead of using a book, pupils were playing a mathematics learning game. Join me in the conversation and help me create meaningful MOOC content. Tweet your thoughts and ideas @pirre74

Coding, Collaboration, Communication and Curriculum in Finland

Coding, Collaboration, Communication and Curriculum in Finland

Computer science nurtures problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. The world is increasingly run by software and we need more diversity among those people who are building it. Not all students will be software developers or writers, doctors or translators, but we are already surrounded by technology and even more so in the future. The main point is to provide a basic understanding of society, living environment and fields of science and thus provide equal opportunities for all the learners. Understanding how computers work and how to use them well, gives children skills and knowledge to succeed in global competition and life generally. Year 3 pupils were not only taught the basics of coding, but they were taught to teach other classes the magic of coding. They have taught around 200 other children and teachers in Finland and India (via video) the Magic of Coding. You can learn more about the Coding Ambassadors here or email for an online course including videos and lesson plan for collaborative coding lessons.

Tes Author Guide (New for Year 2018/19)

Tes Author Guide (New for Year 2018/19)

How to make your first £10,000 creating and selling teaching resources. This guide is written by the Tes best-selling author of all time, EC_Resources. It explains in meticulous detail the essentials that Tes authors need to know in order to make their authoring careers a long-term success. It is no exaggeration to say that becoming a successful Tes author can completely change your life. If you are looking to go part-time or even retire and still make the best of your expertise (without suffering financially), then this is the guide for you. From getting to the top of the search to making covers that people can't avoid clicking on, this guide contains 'the knowledge.' This is knowledge I have collected over 3 years and use every single day. Much of this information simply cannot be found elsewhere. This is a 22 page word document, with easy to follow images and instructions. It can be printed out and read at your leisure. I would recommend doing this as there is a good 3 hours worth of reading material here. I stress now that you will need time, determination and patience to make your first £10,000 - but I also cannot emphasise enough that ANY good teacher or educator who knows their specialism well and is computer literate can do this. EC_Resources is the Tes best selling author. Find my shop here: EC_Resources Leave me a review and pick any other resource for free :)
