Vente Aux Enchères - Free Time Activities

Vente Aux Enchères - Free Time Activities

In this activity students work in groups to bid on correct sentences as if in an auction. The aim is to win the most correct sentences but if they lose their money they can win some back by correcting an incorrect sentence. This activity is designed for KS3 and takes vocabulary from Studio 1 module 3 on the topic of free time activities. There are 18 sentences in this activity. There is a worksheet for students to use to decide which sentences they want to bid on, a powerpoint with each sentence on individual slides to use while going through the bidding process and the answers are at the bottom of the document. Instructions are on both worksheet and powerpoint. An extension task could be to translate the sentences, this could be conducted as a race. A great activity for revision of the topic and for improving students written accuracy.

Claim the parcel translation game Mes loisirs New GCSE Studio AQA

Claim the parcel translation game Mes loisirs New GCSE Studio AQA

Claim the parcel translation game Activity for revising different verb tenses and topics from new GCSE AQA books. You have a table with different verbs tenses/sentences and project it on your interactive whiteboard/wall. In groups of 2 (max 3) they write the answer in French to one of the parcels/boxes on their mini white boards, come to you at the front of the class (you check) and if they have the answer correct they can claim the parcel/box. You write their names/team name on a post it notes and stick it over the parcel/box on the interactive whiteboard. Then, no one can do this parcel/box anymore. The winner is the group to have most parcels/boxes claimed at the end. Works well as end of module revision or translation practice. Don't forget to feedback!
