{Noël/Christmas} - JOYEUX NOEL - Etude du film {KS4 - KS5} - CHRISTMAS movie

{Noël/Christmas} - JOYEUX NOEL - Etude du film {KS4 - KS5} - CHRISTMAS movie A perfect movie to study before Christmas and enough resources for a week or two of teaching on the movie and the first world war. I have also attached the link of the movie in French with English subtitles on the power-point. Age rating: 12 (I would say it is more suitable for KS4 and KS5) When you can play this movie and complete this study guide: - Co-curricular with History - A good film to study if you visit the battlefields in the East of France - It is also a very good end of term Christmas movie I have also attached the links of all the French booklets I used to help me create these resources. In this bundle, you will find a power-point to accompany the worksheets I created to study this period of History and the film. You will also find a Quiz and a worksheet on the main characters of the movie, an article on the main battles and a reading comprehension to develop their vocabulary range on the topic of war. A summary of the film with a worksheet to complete. A slide on the influences and everything that inspired Christian Carion as well as a task for the students to complete. A Quiz on the first world war to allow them to make independent research on the topic. I hope you will enjoy my resources and if you have a question on a particular slide or activity, please do not hesitate to contact me or leave me a message. I would really appreciate some feedback :-) Thank you very much. @EloCamden

New GCSE Unit of work on World Issues

New GCSE Unit of work on World Issues

This unit of work focuses on World issues, solutions to World issues, the environment and a comparison between French and British schools. It is aimed at developing speaking and listening skills. Speaking tasks include role-plays and description of pictures, which can easily lead to free flowing conversations (part of the new GCSE). However, there is material to do reading and writing. Lesson 8 goes through a French song called "L'hymne de nos Campagnes" to add a cultural element to the unit, along with lesson 11 that deals with French schools and the French system. Resource 11 goes with lesson 8 and resource 12 is an improvement prompt you can use when peer-assessing speaking and teacher assessing as well, which will leave a trace of the work done in class in the books.
