I´m Cindy from Leipzig, Germany. I have been a German and English teacher for more than 12 years now. And I love coffee breaks ☕️. Coffee is just great. Over the years I have realized how much my students benefit most from lessons where THEY are the leaders, where THEY are encouraged to be proactive and learn from each other. Handing over the reins to my students doesn’t make me weaker as a teacher. It makes them responsible for their own learning and is highly motivating. I don’t want my students to be sailors. I want them to be CAPTAINS! (And I want coffee!) My teaching resources are all designed to enable students to USE the language. This is why you will always find the communicative approach in my resources - even simple crosswords come with ideas for speaking activities. All of my resources have been tested in class and will be updated regularly. Please rate my resources to help me build a reputation among millions of resources. Thanks for working with me ☺️ Cindy ❤️ Please see my other resources, too: [https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/CindyKuehne]

German translation task - transport preferences

German translation task - transport preferences

Students translate sentences to explain opinions and preferences about transport. Uses same transport vocab as Linguascope. Letters after the sentences show what letters the German sentences begin with so students can do a measure of self checking. The differentiated task is for students with weak handwriting / broken wrists etc so they don't have to write the sentences out, they just have to use a highlighter to make selections.

GERMAN EUROPE POSTERS

GERMAN EUROPE POSTERS

CREATE AN INSTANT AND COMPREHENSIVE INTRODUCTION TO EUROPE IN YOUR CLASSROOM WITH 72 POSTERS FEATURING COUNTRIES, CAPITAL CITIES & FLAGS - IN GERMAN! Brighten up your classroom with this set of 72 posters in GERMAN showing European countries, capital cities and flags. The posters give your learning environment a great multicultural look and feel, at the same time promoting GERMAN as a living language, featuring in the everyday life of your - and your students’ - classroom. There may be a number of countries and capital cities that students do not know, or are not aware of, so the posters can help students develop their general knowledge and understanding of EUROPEAN GEOGRAPHY. I’ve included a range of islands, such as the FAROE ISLANDS, to extend students’ knowledge of EUROPE a little further, and I’ve also shown some countries, for example ARMENIA, that are often classed as belonging either to EUROPE or to ASIA. I’ve also included two posters for some countries, such as GERMANY, officially known as BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND - you can choose either the more frequently-used ‘DEUTSCHLAND’ or the ’BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND’ to display. The posters look great displayed horizontally across a particular learning area - alphabetically works well, though non-alphabetically is perfect for a country quest activity! They’re ideal for the annual EUROPE DAY celebration, and THE EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES, as well as an all year round display. Laminate for longevity - you’ll be able to display your EUROPA posters for years to come! The resource consists of a single, non-editable file; please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - the resource is copyright, and for single-classroom use only. VIELEN DANK!
