New Spanish GCSE - Grammar booklets (Cuadernos de gramática)

New Spanish GCSE - Grammar booklets (Cuadernos de gramática)

This resource contains two different versions of my grammar booklet. The content of both booklets is basically the same, but while the full version is 62 pages long, the reduced version is more printing-budget friendly, with 37pages. Both versions of the booklet contain a very comprehensive summary of the grammar required to succeed in the new GCSE course and numerous activities for the students. Each booklet is divided in three sections, one for each theme of the new GCSE, and withing each of those there are two parts, one dedicated to verbs and one dedicated to all the other lexical categories. Each entry of the booklet focuses on one aspect of grammar, with a brief explanation of how to use the structure that is being covered, the rules and exceptions that need to be taken into account, and a variety of examples. This is always followed by an “Ahora practica” section with activities for the students to complete. Whenever possible, the examples and activities match the theme that the specific structure has been included under (e.g., the majority of examples and activities used to study the present tense will be related to the topics from theme 1 - relationships, technology, leisure and festivals). A free sample of this resource (the section on ser and estar) can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spanish-grammar-ser-and-estar-11939670 And the final pages of the booklet, with the verb tables: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/new-spanish-gcse-verb-tables-11940354 Finally, each version of the booklet can be found separately in the following links: Reduced version: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-spanish-grammar-booklet-cuaderno-de-gram-tica-11939892 Full version: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spanish-gcse-grammar-booklet-cuaderno-de-gram-tica-11939611

GCSE Spanish grammar booklet - Cuaderno de gramática

This is a reduced, simplified and printing-budget friendly of this resource: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spanish-gcse-grammar-booklet-cuaderno-de-gram-tica-11939611 The content of the booklets is very similar and they both provide a very detailed overview of the grammar needed for the new GCSE course, divided into three parts (Theme 1, Theme 2 and Theme 3). Each part has two sections, one devoted to verbs and the other one to other lexical categories. Both books contain a lot of examples and activities for the students. This version of the booklet takes into account that printing budget can be tight, so I have re formated the original, 62-page booklet, and taken out a few examples, so it is now 37 pages (the last three being verb tables that can be printed separately), but it still contains detailed explanations of a variety of grammatical structures, a lot of examples and a lot of activities. Content: THEME 1 Part 1 – Articles, nouns, adjectives, prepositions, adverbs and pronouns Nouns Articles Contractions Adjectives Comparatives and superlatives Por and para Negatives Questions Possessive adjectives Direct object pronouns Part 2 – Verbs Ser and estar Conjugating verbs The present tense 13a. To get a good idea of what the resource actually looks like, have a look at the PDF version or the screen captures (for some reason previews of word files alter the format of the resource, but this is only the preview).

Spanish Conditional Tense, Interactive Grammar Videos

Spanish Conditional Tense, Interactive Grammar Videos

This is an ideal resource for setting as a home learning task, either to consolidate learning in class or for students to study independently either before or in class. Students can listen at their own speed to videos about how to conjugate Spanish verbs in the conditional tense (regular and irregular). The “multiplier effect” I mention means students can apply this knowledge to new verbs. There are verbal questions in each video to translate verbs from Spanish to English and vice versa so they can assess their understanding and you can ask them to write down their answers so you can see evidence of their work too. That way you will know how to support them if needed. It is ideal for KS3 classes that need to be challenged or GCSE classes. A-level classes can also use it to recap the key processes. If you visit my YouTube channel you will find other grammar videos for Spanish and French too.

Spanish grammar grid

Based on an idea I saw on Twitter. Students first classify the words as either noun, adjective or verb and then try to write ten sentences in their book. The sentences must include a combination of noun, adjective and verb and the focus is on accuracy (adjectival agreement, gender of nouns, subject/verb agreement)
