EDEXCEL (Salters Nuffield) A-Level Biology Topic 7: Run for your life

This bundle of 12 lesson presentations and associated worksheets covers a lot of the content within Topic 7 (Run for your Life) of the Edexcel (Salters Nuffield) A-Level Biology specification. The lessons cover the following teaching content: The sliding filament theory The overall reaction of aerobic respiration Glycolysis in aerobic and anaerobic respiration The role of the Link Reaction and the Kreb's cycle Lactate and anaerobic respiration The cardiac cycle How heart rate is increased Structure of a muscle fibre Negative and positive feedback Homeostasis and thermoregulation All of the lessons are engaging and contain regular progress checks so that students can assess their understanding. It is estimated that these lessons should cover over 2 months worth of lessons.
