Regardless of their age, all students love a puzzle - learning and fun at the same time! Motivate and enthuse your students with these three differentiated jigsaw puzzles which have the advantage of combining learning about the parable of the Prodigal Son with the enjoyment of playing. Year Groups ✶ S1/S2 (Scotland) ✶ Year 7/8 (England) ✶ 6th/7th Grade (US) ✶ they also work well with S3/Year 9/8th Grade SEN pupils. Learning Objectives These puzzles were designed in alignment with the learning objectives for the lesson The Prodigal Son: ✶ to explain the meaning of the parable ‘The Prodigal Son’; ✶ to describe what God’s love for all people is like. Differentiation All your students can benefit from this resource. There are three different jigsaw puzzles included (1 text puzzle and 2 image puzzles) which are of different levels of difficulty to help all students to access the parable. Ask pupils to pick one which they are most comfortable with. This activity is further differentiated by providing extension tasks for pupils who complete the text puzzle. When and how to use this resource The puzzles are suitable to be used as part of the lesson ’The Prodigal Son’, during class activities, for revision or as a stand-alone activity. Pupils can work on them individually, in pairs or in mixed-ability groups. All you need to do is to print off the puzzle (as many copies as you need), laminate them for durability, cut them out carefully to ensure close matching and finally, put the pieces in envelopes. Each jigsaw puzzle is numbered-coded for organisational convenience. Qatar History And Citizenship Resources - Year 3 - 39 Worksheets and Weekly Lessons Plans

Qatar History And Citizenship Resources - Year 3 - 39 Worksheets and Weekly Lessons Plans

Qatar History and Citizenship is a compulsory subject for any primary school teacher in Qatar. When I taught this subject in Qatar, I was surprised to discover how thin the student text book was, how little resources were available for students on the Internet and that there was no teacher guide to help teachers effectively teach this subject. This Year 3 teaching pack contains lesson plans and additional worksheets to support 39 weekly lessons. These lessons cover all a student needs to know about the subject, and the lessons are designed to motivate and excite a student's interest in the history around them. These worksheets could be printed out and used as workbooks in the classroom, sent home as additional homework or shared via an interactive whiteboard. *** Please note that these resources are designed to be used with the official text book, not as a replacement. ***
