Supply Teacher Folder

Supply Teacher Folder

Whenever a teacher needs a day off for sickness or a course, it can sometimes feel like more work to not be in school than it is to be in it. I created this document to make leaving my class with a supply teacher easier for all involved. I know how hard supply teachers work and I know how hard it is to walk into a class and not know the children or the timetable. This folder allows you to keep all the crucial information that a supply teacher needs to know about your class. Just edit the document and include everything that a supply teacher could need to know, print it off, put it in a folder and leave it on your desk! I’ve included a supply teacher feedback form in the download so you can be easily updated on how the day went, who behaved, messages you missed etc

British Values: British Values Assembly

British Values: British Values Assembly

An assembly to introduce or reinforce the four core British Values. This is a light-hearted assembly where the Queen introduces British Values and their importance to a less than interested student (called Loudmouth Lewis) to try to win him over. It lasts about 15-20 mins if all the clips are watched. Many more inexpensive and free resources at my shop: EC_Resources Leave me a review and pick any other resource for free :)

Updating your drugs policy to include NPS

Updating your drugs policy to include NPS

Every school’s drugs policy should include new psychoactive substances (NPS), formerly known as “legal highs,” as these drugs have had harmful effects on young people and some school communities. Schools have a statutory obligation to protect the welfare of their students, so they must maintain accountability by updating their drugs policy accordingly, particularly considering increasing numbers of school exclusions related to drugs and alcohol. In previous briefing papers, Mentor looked at the impact of new psychoactive substances on public health and drugs education. Schools and practitioners should also update their drugs policy to take account of NPS.
