QLA Template

QLA Template

Complete with pre-formated conditional formatting, a self explanatory grid set up and a blank sheet all created. I am a sad human being who loves to create QLA's but I am aware that others think that they are the devil. I have created this to try take away from the bulk of the work and make it an under a half hour job to create. If anyone notices any bugs please let me know so I can fix. Additionally any other ideas would be great!

Successful NPQH application - 2017 proforma/framework

Successful NPQH application - 2017 proforma/framework

This is a successful NPQH assessment, which was deemed above expectations in four core areas and at expectations in one area. I know when I was applying, seeing a successful application would have been helpful. Hopefully this will be of help for you too, if you are thinking of applying for the NPQH. I'm sure it will save you a lot of time!

Report Writer

Report Writer

A report writing assistant that allows you to automatically create report comments selected by a click from a series of user modifiable comments. Comments are organised into sections (opening, behavioural, progress, strengths, weaknesses, closing and 3 user defined categories with 18 comments in each section). Comments automatically update to insert the name and to match gender specific pronouns (he/she, his/her etc). Once written the comments can be copied and pasted into your own report packages and a file containing all the reports for your class set can be created. Suitable for all teachers at all key stages through suitable modification of the comments in the comment banks. This is an Excel file which uses macros to run, read the help sheet in the file to enable macros.

Whole School Any Subject Analyser and Action Plan Creator

Whole School Any Subject Analyser and Action Plan Creator

Fancy an easy to read spreadsheet which compares the relative performance of teaching groups, the progress of identified vulnerable groups (SEN, LAC, EAL, male, female, more able) after your data collection points? A spreadsheet that automatically populates action plans for each class based on targeting underperforming students and identified groups within the class? Then this is for you... This can be implemented school-wide for any subject area, and will work with pathways (3M/3A/3E etc) or with grades (e.g., 6,7,8), or with some schools using GCSE grades 6, 7,7+,8, and so will work with KS3, KS4, KS5 with no additional work. The effort required from you would be copying and pasting 9 columns from SIMS (or similar program) on to the Excel spreadsheet and you will have detailed, colour-coded information for all your teaching groups (up to 8) and/or 207 students. Having completed this last year as Head of Humanities, I was able to generate a detailed, analytical report within 5 minutes for each year group and subject area, and saving my team valuable time in the process (as they no longer needed to calculate figures for their own classes). Furthermore, it provoked useful discussion about the relative performance of classes in meetings and allowed more effective targeting of students, such as boys/upper/SEN... Although there is an easy to follow 'how to' guide, upon purchase I am happy to answer queries, edit the spreadsheet to suit your school environment (e.g., needing more students/more classes/a focus on a different vulnerable group).
