Goosewell Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Mealtime Assistant to join the School as soon as possible.

Post: Mealtime Assistant

Location: Goosewell Primary Academy, Plymouth, PL9 9HD

FTE Salary: NJC Grade A, Point 2, £20,441 per annum, pro-rata

Actual Annual Salary: £2,447.60 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:15 – 13:15

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a new member of staff to join our Mealtime Assistant Team, to work across all year groups. As a school, we endeavour to making lunchtimes a happy and safe environment.

About the successful candidate

We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

• Understanding the needs of children
• Understanding of Health and Safety issues
• Understanding of the issues surrounding the safety of children
• Basic knowledge of first-aid

The Academy was inspected in December 2019 and received a Good rating: ‘Pupils thrive at Goosewell Primary Academy. They enjoy learning and making friends. Many pupils told inspectors that the school was very friendly and that pupils were kind and well behaved. Pupils learn about the importance of acting respectfully and with empathy for others throughout the curriculum.’

About the Trust

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.  We operate 15 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.  We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles.
