This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to lead the Biology Department at St Helen’s for one academic year, in order to cover a period of maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, draw on extensive subject knowledge and be an enthusiastic advocate of science and biology in particular. The ability to inspire students and staff is essential.
The post is available from September 2018 for one academic year and involves teaching across the age and ability range from Year 7 to Year 13. In addition to teaching, the post-holder will also have pastoral responsibilities within their allocated year group.
All teaching staff are expected to contribute to the pastoral and enrichment programmes of the School. All staff share the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students, in accordance with the School’s safeguarding policies.
