The Board of Central Coast Grammar School seeks to appoint the School’s next Head with the retirement of Bill Low at the end of 2023, after 15 years’ distinguished leadership.

Central Coast Grammar School is a co-educational independent all-through school based in New South Wales in Australia. 

The school opened in 1985 with 165 pupils enrolled and a teaching staff of 19. In 2000, as student numbers exceeded 1000, it was structured into three developmental stages (the junior school, the middle school, and the senior college) to reflect the differing needs of students as they go through the school. The school uses a house system.

School ethos

Central Coast Grammar School is a non-denominational school but has a Christian ethos. It wishes to be an inclusive school that encourages students to reflect on spiritual matters and ethical issues. Importance is also placed on upholding the highest standards of behaviour and mutual respect. The school has also dedicated itself to hiring teachers who are at the leading edge of their profession. Teachers are expected to have the highest academic qualifications, practical experience of contemporary teaching and essential personal qualities of dedication and integrity. 

The school’s house system is intended to operate in tandem with each child’s academic pursuits and personal goals. It is also used to monitor and nurture students’ social and emotional wellbeing. Central Coast Grammar School also aims to offer a wide range of subject choices to allow students to explore their talents and interests. It also aims to enrich students’ educational experiences by offering a comprehensive choice of co-curricular opportunities.
