Full Time - Permanent / Salary Scale: Godolphin Teacher Scale Points 1 – 9 £25,000 - £41,369 / Plus 15 – 20 Responsibility Points - £3,750 - £5,000

We are looking to appoint a Head of Department for our History department. The successful candidate will be an outstanding, inspirational teacher in their own right, and will head a thriving department of three other teachers teaching from Year 7 through to A-level. The school syllabus covers a broad range of British and world history, and is designed to engender a keen interest in history and to develop the students’ analytical and evaluative skills. The History Department organises a range of popular trips for different year groups, including trips to the First World War battlefields, Paris and Versailles, the Mary Rose, and the Chalke Valley History Festival.

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience as a highly effective Secondary teacher. Leadership experience would be an advantage.

Start Date: Easter 2021 start preferred, but could consider a September start for the right candidate.
