This post would suit an experienced teacher or an NQT with good prospects for career development. The successful applicant would teach KS3 to KS5. The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic practitioner who will be able to contribute to the development of our ICT Department and help drive forward our agenda of continuous improvement. The ICT Department is a busy and cohesive department who work together to achieve the best for students and we are looking for a member of staff to play an active role in raising the profile of ICT and Computing.
This supportive environment is reflected across the school. As a school our academic results are exceptional. The Howard School regularly achieves very high rates of students gaining 5 A* - C grades including English and Mathematics at GCSE, and our excellent Progress 8 score from last year for all groups of students demonstrates our commitment to each and every one of our learners. We remain one of the best performing non-selective schools in the South East, and continue to challenge the stereotypical view of underachievement in young men.
We value our teachers and actively support their professional development, and have redesigned our working week from September 2017 to place even greater emphasis on staff development. You will have access to on-going professional development including National College accredited courses. If you are looking to extend your experience and would be interested in joining our team, we would be delighted to hear from you. We offer an extremely attractive and very competitive financial package.
The Howard School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. References will be taken up for those candidates short-listed for interview. The successful candidate will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
We reserve the right to alter our interview dates and close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response.
