International Admissions Manager

We are looking to appoint an experienced International Admissions Manager to work with the Deputy Head (Marketing & Admissions) within a team comprising Repton’s Senior Admissions Manager, Director of International Admissions, Prep Admissions Manager, Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, Digital Marketing Officer and Marketing & Admissions Assistant.

The successful applicant would manage the international admissions process and deliver a successful, efficient and clear international recruitment process under the oversight of the Deputy Head (Marketing & Admissions).

The International Admissions Manager will track and record the progress of International applications to Repton School, organising and hosting visits for families and exchanging key information and documentation in support of those applications. They will interview candidates and administrate admissions tests. They will also manage relationships with trusted agents and be responsible for agreeing any new agency agreements. There is also a requirement for the International Admissions Manager to maintain overseas pupil records on the central database (iSAMS).

Excellent communication and people skills are essential, as well as the capability to interact with students and their families. There is also the requirement to manage international pupils once they have joined the school, ensuring documentary evidence relating to their visa compliance is present and correct. The ability to maintain accurate records and be highly organised is essential. High levels of computer literacy and excellent administration skills are also required.

Repton School, founded in 1557, is a leading co-educational School situated in the historic village of Repton. Five miles from Burton upon Trent and eight miles from Derby, Repton lies in the very centre of England. Under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 it is a criminal offence for a person over 18 (e.g. teacher, matron, sports coach) to have a sexual relationship with a child under 18 where that person is in a position of trust in respect of that child, even if the relationship is consensual. This applies where the child is in full-time education and the person works in the same establishment as the child, even if s/he does not teach the child. Moreover, whatever the age of the pupil, a sexual relationship between an employee and a pupil will be considered an abuse of a position of trust and gross misconduct, likely to result in dismissal.
