Contract Type: Maternity cover, fixed term until 31 May 2024, fractional, 26.9 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (0.8 FTE)

 

Location: Paignton, Devon

 

We are looking for an inspirational Clinical Lecturer to undertake formal scheduled teaching duties, including teaching, tutorials and student assessment as directed and supported by the Programme Co-ordinators and Curriculum Head across the Higher Education health curriculum. You will be required to attend a range of meetings within UCSD, including Annual Programme Monitoring, Programme Committee Meetings and Subject Assessment Panels. You will be required to present the data for your courses at regular intervals throughout the academic year.  

 

You will market and promote the provision within the section and support progression internally across the organisation. You will work with partners external to the college under direction of the Programme Co-ordinators and Curriculum Head ensuring high levels of professionalism to further improve and increase opportunities for the students and the breadth of provision on offer.    

 

The successful candidate will hold a Health (Clinical) related Degree and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). If not already held, you must be willing to attain a teaching qualification within the College’s specified timescale. You will also need excellent communication details, coupled with the ability to motivate, negotiate and communicate effectively at all levels.
