Unqualified Range scale points 15-21 (£11,503 - £13,663 pro rata)
Qualified Range scale points 23-31 (£14,494 - £18,339 pro rata)
The Sheffield College
We are seeking to temporarily appoint a well qualified and enthusiastic individual to cover maternity leave in the Directorate of English, Maths and Academic Studies. The post mainly involves teaching GCSE English Language to students on a range of vocational study programmes.
The post may also involve teaching Functional Skills English to adults. You will be expected to contribute the development of the curriculum.
The successful candidate should hold a teaching qualification and a degree in English. Recent post-16 teaching experience would be an advantage but newly qualified teachers with appropriate teaching practice experience will also be considered.
It is also essential to have good ICT skills with the ability to develop the use of VLEs. You will also be an effective team player, be flexible and willing to take on new teaching challenges as new opportunities arise.
