Maths Teacher

We are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving Maths department from September 2021. The successful candidate must have qualified teacher status and the necessary experience to teach Maths to Years 5-8. The ability to teach additional subjects, such as Science, would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be creative and energetic, have good interpersonal skills, provide an example of excellent good practice and fully participate in the life of this successful and popular school.

Established in 1987, Abercorn School is an independent, co-educational day school for pupils aged 2-13 set across three prestigious Central London locations. Our EYFS site is in St John’s Wood, with Pre-Prep Pupils based in Marylebone. The Prep site, for pupils in Years 4-8 is based on Portland Place. The School aims to offer its pupils the best start in education by providing a friendly, caring and inspiring academic atmosphere where a true love of learning is nurtured and from which pupils can go on to successfully gain places at a range of selective senior schools.

Abercorn School strongly believes in empowering children to teach them the skills to become independent lifelong learners. Our practice focuses highly on child initiated learning, listening to and interacting with children to find out their interests and develop a passion for learning. We encourage a culture of collaboration to communicate and develop ideas and to think critically and creatively.
