Nursery Assistant

The Avenue Children’s Centre is a happy and caring pre-school where the staff are dedicated to creating a great place for children to play and learn. As part of the Acorn Education Trust it provides exciting opportunities to improve local education. The post is:

Hours: 25 hours, Monday- Friday, various hours between 7.45 & 6pm (52 weeks)

We would like to hear from you if you:

• are a motivated, energetic and proactive Early Years Professional who will ensure the delivery of safe, high quality education and care for all of our children;
• Have experience of working with pre-school age children;
• Have a relevant NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in children’s care and learning;
• Have recognised, relevant safeguarding training;
• Preferably, but not essential, have experience of working with children with special educational needs;
• Be able to demonstrate a warm and caring approach with the children;
• Are a team player and willing to support colleagues within a small team.
