36 hours per week; Monday to Friday 

Contract: Term Time only

This is your opportunity to work with committed and high attaining secondary school students as part of a highly skilled and cohesive team of teachers and support staff. 

The key focuses of this role will be to:

1. Support teaching staff during lessons in the provision of Physics across the age and ability range. This includes: 

  • Collecting and assembling apparatus  
  • Preparing experiments, setting up apparatus, equipment, and materials for demonstration and practical lessons. 
  • Constructing, modifying and repairing laboratory apparatus & ensuring all apparatus is stored correctly. 
  • Assisting in the testing of new experiments and the devising of new practical work. 
  • Maintain records of materials & equipment, ordering replacements where appropriate. 
  • Consulting health & safety literature and advising teachers where appropriate. 

2. Provide administrative support for, and support the supervision of, STEM educational activities across the School; 

3. Manage the technical, administrative and resource provision within Physics.
