Tower Hamlets

£130-£150 per day PAYE

September 2021 – July 2022

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is UK QTS.

The role

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a Primary PPA teacher to work in a large, four-form entry school in Tower Hamlets. The suitable candidate will be working on a full-time basis, working closely with the class teacher to arrange what is required for each lesson they will be covering. You will be covering classes across EYFS,KS1 & KS2.  The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management skills, show an enthusiasm for teaching, and can build a good rapport with pupils of all ages across primary as well as other members of staff. This would be perfect for an experienced teacher who fancies a break from planning and wishes to simply enjoy the delivery of lessons. Alternatively, teachers with less experience who might like the experience of teaching lessons to help prepare them for a career in teaching, would also be considered for the role.

The school

The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and all the staff are encouraged to foster a positive approach to teaching and learning. Pupils, overall, are well behaved, however there are naturally, some behaviours which require the support of a 1:1 TA. The school is very inclusive and cater for around 30 pupils with EHCPs. The school refer to children’s rights daily and encourage a mutual respect between staff and pupils. There are many opportunities to progress within the school with the regular CPD courses, whereby the leadership wish to better each member of staff which will ultimately transfer onto the pupils’ education. The school is accessible by various transport links.

• Hold QTS

• Have recent or past experience working in Primary

• Able to work 5 days per week – 08.30 – 16.00
