An exciting opportunity to lead Danebank School, a thriving and high performing, non-selective, Christian girls’ school in Hurstville (NSW), from January 2020.

Established in 1933, Danebank is known for its outstanding academic success and its positive, welcoming and dynamic learning environment, firmly rooted in a clear expression of the evangelical Christian faith. Current Principal Mrs Maryanne Davis will be retiring after ten years of outstanding leadership, leaving Danebank in a strong position for its next phase of development.

Anglican Schools Corporation (ASC) are looking to appoint a highly talented Christian Principal to take full strategic, operational and managerial leadership of the school with reference to ASC’s own vision, mission and strategic objectives. A passionate educator, the Principal will bring a clear Christian educational philosophy, the pursuit of excellence, a strong personal faith and a genuine heart for enabling Danebank girls to reach their unique potential in Christ.

Danebank Anglican School for Girls is a single-sex, independent, all-through Christian school in New South Wales, serving students from the age of 4-18. The all-through school is situated in Hurstville.

Danebank Anglican School for Girls was founded in 1933 by a group of local parents. The school is passionate about hiring passionate, highly-qualified teachers who are supportive of its strong Christian ethos. Danebank Anglican School for Girls boasts specialist learning facilities across its two campuses. These include a swimming pool, Apple Mac computer suites, a senior study centre, a gym and a performing arts centre, complete with an IT staff room, specialist music classrooms and a drama studios.

Curriculum

Danebank Anglican School for Girls provides a broad, faith-based learning curriculum designed to help develop all students as confident and self-assured individuals. Personalised learning is important to the school and students benefit from a flexible learning programme designed to meet their individual needs. Extracurricular activities – including sports teams, travel opportunities and language lessons – are offered to pupils across the year groups to allow for them to further their learning experience beyond the classroom.
