New College Worcester is a nationally regarded non-maintained residential special school, devoted to the education of vision impaired young people aged 11 – 19. 

Strategic Lead: Business & Finance (AD183/0123)

Scale PO10; Salary £58,095 - £61,269.

Full time (available to take phone calls out of hours on a rota basis and in relation to concerns about the site, should they arise). Balance of on site and remote working to be arranged to meet the College’s needs.

You will support the Principal in providing leadership and management of the College to achieve high standards in all areas by establishing a culture that promotes excellence, equality, independence and high expectations of all students with a safe environment.

Although the role is a strategic one, you will need to take a ‘hands on’ approach as there are also regular tasks which are operational covering Finance, HR, Site, Administration, Fundraising and Health and Safety.

As a member of the SLT you will be involved in executive decision making and sharing executive commitments where appropriate, particularly in respect of the strategic development and policy of the College.
