Are you an outstanding Computer Science teacher able to deliver effective teaching and learning in Computer Science to our enthusiastic students from KS3 through to A-level? You will have a passion for the subject and be committed to ensuring students are engaged, challenged and feel empowered to achieve.

 

Royal Russell School is an HMC/IAPS co-educational school with over 1100 pupils between the ages of 3 and 18, situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in South London. We have 200 boarding students in the Senior School and are proud of our beautiful day and boarding facilities that rank amongst the best in the UK. Our pupils, parents and staff experience a warm and friendly environment with strong pastoral care for every pupil alongside a comprehensive co-curricular and enrichment programme. Our latest ISI Inspection was carried out in September 2022 and we are delighted to report that Royal Russell achieved the top grade of excellent in every aspect. 

 

As a result of expansion in the Computer Science department, we are looking for an excellent teacher to join our dedicated and highly successful team of four teachers. Students consistently achieve outstanding results in the CIE specification for Computer Science at GCSE and A-level. In 2022, 57% of A-level students attained A*-A grades and 100% attained A*-C grades. At GCSE, 76% achieved 7-9 grades (including 27% at grade 9) and 86% achieved a 6 or higher. Each year sixth form Computer Science students successfully achieve places to read computer Science at university and many  The Computer Science department is housed in a dedicated suite of 4 computer rooms.

 

If you are an innovative and inspirational teacher with a passion and enthusiasm for your subject, who is committed to achieving high standards within a successful department, then we would love to hear from you. You should have outstanding subject knowledge and be able to teach Computer Science to the highest levels at GCSE and A-level. In addition, you should be keen to deliver high quality tutorial support and support a range of co-curricular activities. This post could suit a newly qualified teacher or an experienced practitioner.

Royal Russell is an Independent Day and Boarding School for boys and girls aged 3 to 18.
