Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher of English to join our dedicated and hardworking department. The successful candidate will be required to teach students of all abilities at Key Stage 3 and 4. We are looking for a candidate who will motivate, challenge and inspire students to be the best that they can be; someone who is enthusiastic, resourceful, has high expectations and is committed to the distinctive ethos of our school.
This is an exciting time to join the school as we continue to develop strategies to improve the quality of teaching and learning. We are fortunate to be in a modern building with purpose built English classrooms.

Our Lady’s Roman Catholic High School is a mainstream, co-educational secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Higher Blackley, Manchester, and it has 850 students on its roll.

Pupils’ spelling, punctuation and grammar in writing, and their use of standard English when speaking, have improved significantly since the last inspection. School leaders, including governors, have an accurate understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for development. They are determined to continue improving opportunities for pupils. Senior leaders have taken effective measures to improve levels of literacy. Teachers provide pupils with opportunities to develop their speaking skills and practise their use of standard English.”
