The College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, high performing and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of Teacher of Science who can also offer A Level Biology, who will lead and inspire students. The Science and Biology department at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College is extremely high performing with a track record of achieving Outstanding ALPs value added for the last three years.

SCIENCE at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College

The science departments at Notre Dame are lively, dynamic and progressive in terms of their approach. They share resources and support each other professionally. The Biology department offers Biology A Level using the AQA specification and is highly popular with approximately 350 students. The Applied Science department offers BTEC Level 2 and BTEC Level 3 Applied Science and is highly popular with over 180 students in total. The Health & Social Care department is one of the fastest growing and highest performing departments in the College with T Level Health which has a number of units dedicated to Science. The college has been highly successful in its delivery of T Levels and will complete the build of another specialist science laboratory summer 2023, further supporting the high quality provision at the college.

There is a friendly and professional atmosphere within the departments and a strong emphasis on encouraging a positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success. There is a wealth of experience and professional knowledge and an encouragement to undertake CPD.

We would welcome applications from recently qualified teachers and NQTs (ECTs).
