Job overview

Egerton Primary School is a successful single form entry primary School in Knutsford. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the teaching and learning of all pupils, including those with special educational needs. This role would be suitable for candidates that have previous Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor experience. We would be open to training and developing the right candidate through the Level 3 apprenticeship scheme.

Our Teaching Assistants support with the delivery of the curriculum, work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist with the preparation of resources. They supervise small groups of students and deliver bespoke intervention. They provide support for pupils' welfare in all aspects of school life.

The Learning Alliance has a comprehensive and supportive performance management process, to motivate, inspire, and develop colleagues to ensure that staff and pupils can realise their potential. There is a wealth of continuous professional development and networking opportunities across the trust through The Learning Institute, our teacher training and learning and development faculty.

We are passionate about developing and retaining our staff. Collaborative working across trust schools and sharing best practice are highly encouraged, and we have opportunities for more formal training and qualifications through apprenticeships and other specialist training programmes.

The trust promotes and prioritises staff wellbeing through its commitment to the Education Staff Wellbeing Charter. A new staff benefits programme has launched this academic year, providing staff discounts in response to the rising cost of living, and offers a confidential employee assistance programme to support staff mental health and wellbeing both personally and professionally.

This is an exciting time in school’s and trust’s development as we explore a potential merger with another local trust, The Learning for Life Partnership, which we believe will strengthen both trusts to better support the education of all children and young people in the merged entity.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the development of pupils; you will be working in the classroom and implementing programmes of support designed to meet their needs. The role is ideal for a new or established colleague who aspires to grow and develop as an outstanding Teaching Assistant.

Post details: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Actual salary is £16,576 - £18,150 p.a. based on part time hours, working term time plus INSET days only.

In return we will offer the successful candidate:

• A welcoming school, with friendly, enthusiastic and supportive staff

• Inquisitive and self-motivated children to inspire

• Staff benefits - employee discounts, discounted gym membership, Cycle2work scheme

• Employee Assistance Programme
