About Mayplace Primary School

'Igniting the Spark of Learning'

Part of The Primary First Trust, Mayplace Primary School is a three-form entry school located in Bexleyheath, Kent.

We believe that as teachers we have a moral responsibility to ensure that the education we provide is the best that it can be. The teaching and learning should be bespoke to a particular cohort or even an individual pupil if that is required. It is critical that the curriculum we deliver, prepares our children for their next steps in life by supporting them in being enthusiastic learners who understand the importance of collaboration, problem solving, risk taking and resilience in the face of obstacles. It is important to us that our pupils, their families and staff members are happy and are a proud part of our Mayplace community.

School Values | Mayplace Primary School

At Mayplace Primary School, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes for all pupils, and ensure families and children are supported while at the school. Mayplace Primary School is a fully inclusive school which focuses on the well-being and progress of every child. We have high expectations of all our children, including those with Special Educational Needs or a Disability (SEND).

Our inclusive green curriculum supports the wellbeing of children and staff alike and in turn promotes a happy and healthy body and mind; all children have equal access to the curriculum. At Mayplace we believe that all children learn best with the rest of their class. Our aim is for all children to become independent and autonomous learners, in order that they can reach their potential. Children with SEND are entitled to be taught by their Class Teacher.

Similarly, children who are identified as more able, demonstrating a particular aptitude in a curriculum area, will be given opportunities to extend their learning through creative thinking, reasoning and problem solving opportunities.

Mayplace Primary School is committed to providing equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, faith, gender or capability in all aspects of school life. We promote diversity, inclusion and a sense of belonging.
