Blank Lesson Plan Template in German

This resource is a blank template for lessons in German ("Stundenverlaufsplanung") as commonly used in the German school system and teacher training. German language educators may use it to schedule the various lesson phases (such as elaboration, exercise, documentation) and map factors such as length, learning objectives, student and teacher activities and teaching methods.

KS4 German: Write a report on your teacher!

KS4 German: Write a report on your teacher!

Slightly tongue-in-cheek lesson about writing a report on your teacher. Pupils read my report and fill in the appropriate endings, then pick out the best grammatical structures, and finally use what they've learnt to write their own reports on a teacher (suitable for a guessing game on which teacher they&'re talking about). Fun for my top-set year 10s.

The school day in Germany

The school day in Germany

An introduction to the school day in Germany including lessons, timings and breaktime activities. We meet two primary school pupils, Nikolas and Sara, who show us their school in South Berlin. We see a typical German classroom, and are introduced to their timetable including the names of some subjects. Next, we see what they eat and do at breaktime. Throughout the clip we are given the times at which pupils do each activity. Commentary in German and English.
