PSHE education Toolkit

PSHE education Toolkit

The Ealing Health Improvement Team have developed a PSHE education toolkit, designed to support PSHE coordinators in developing, embedding and monitoring a whole school approach to PSHE education. This toolkit contains resources, audit tools and surveys which will support PSHE coordinators in embedding a consistent approach to PSHE education. This toolkit is most effective when used in conjunction with the Ealing PSHE scheme of work for Primary Schools. Please see individual year group lesson plans in our resource section or email us for an overview of the scheme of work in its entirety.

Growth Mindset Poster Train the Brain Wall Display

Growth Mindset Poster Train the Brain Wall Display

This colorful Growth Vs Fixed Mindset Wall Display will encourage a growth mindset in your classroom. They make a perfect reference tool all year round and great when setting up your classroom. The wall display comes in two sizes. A4 and A3. That is the brain is either A4 or A3 size depending on how much wall space you have. Personally I use the A3 brain with the speech bubbles from the A4 set. I have also included a black and white brain for the students to color in themselves. Enjoy.

INSET - Codependency in children

INSET - Codependency in children

Have you ever wondered why your growth mindset initiative isn't working for some children? How some children are drawn towards unhealthy friendships for no apparent reason or no matter how much it is addressed during PSHE? Are some children's behaviour in your class frustrating you? What is codependency? Ignore the definition that has been taken over by popular media. "A codependent person may be described as one who allows another persons behaviour to affect him/her and whose focus is being overly involved, controlling or attempting to alter that persons behaviour." This INSET is an introduction to codependency in children. It will address: * Behaviours * Reactions * Parental and adults who model codependency * How to identify it * Where to go for support * Self care * Sources of support outside of school This is an introduction for teachers and is a growing INSET pack Recommended reading and further information is available at the end of the presentation.
