@AllRoundRes ULTIMATE PEEL Paragraph Guide! + Planning Pages!

@AllRoundRes ULTIMATE PEEL Paragraph Guide! + Planning Pages!

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don't really bother) - I do really value your feedback. ***** FOLLOW @AllRoundRes, to stay up-to-date with the latest resources and news! ***** #GetYourLearnOn I created this resource to be used a display in classrooms to show and explain what a PEEL paragraph is. It is designed to help students understand what a PEEL paragraph is and how they can use it in their writing, across all subjects and levels. The resource itself is split into 4 different posters/displays/worksheets. The first is a guide to show what each letter of PEEL stands for and how you form a paragraph using the acronym. It also gives simple image to illustrate the main point of the letter. The second includes a range of sentence starters for each of the letters, giving students a starting point form and write a PEEL paragraph. The third gets students to think about what they need to do when forming a peel paragraph. Giving simple questions, that students should think about and try to find out before writing the paragraph. The fourth is writing frame template to help student form and write the perfect PEEL paragraph. Also, included is a variety of different planning sheets, to help students prepare and plan what they are going to write in their paragraph. All 5 planning pages coincide with colour codes of PEEL for each letter, perfect to help students get their learning and understanding together to form the perfect paragraph! All slides are colour coded, in conjunction with PEEL, so each letter has its own colour. You could print them in A3 size to display around your classroom, so if students get stuck they can refer to them. Or, you could print onto one sheet and hand to students to put in their diary or stick in their books for future reference. The template page you could print a few up and pin them to a board so student can take one to help them when needed. I would suggest printing them in colour, to get maximum use of the individual colour coded letters. *************************************************************************************** If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email allroundresources@gmail or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help! ***** Be sure to follow me, to keep update with my most recent uploaded resources! *****

Can I have feedback SIR? How to mark students work?! #CPD #GetYourLearnOn

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don't really bother) - I do really value your feedback ***** FOLLOW @AllRoundRes, to stay up-to-date with the latest resources and news! ***** #GetYourLearnOn I created this resource, as a guide to help teachers mark students work, a handy poster to display in offices, staff room, classrooms near teachers’ desk or to give to all teachers to keep/glue to their planners. Designed to make marking quicker, easier and more effective to both teachers and students. Helps teachers focus on the strengths, improvement and response from the student. A guide to marking in the form of a traffic light system; green, amber and red illustrated through emoji expressions. Also, includes a section where teachers can check if they have included a set of things when work has been marked… Can be integrated into lessons to help check students understanding of the lesson and errors made during work…AfL! Should be used in conjunction with my ‘Whole School Literacy Marking Codes’ to encourage concise, organised and effective marking feedback across the work school, all ages and all subjects. Teachers should aim towards this to give students effective and thorough guidance on what they can do to improve and how they can go about this… #CPD Teachers should aim to try and encourage positive praise in the classroom; this can reduce behavioral issues, promote good well-being and participation in the classroom. A section includes how teachers can praise positive work from students work that has been marked… #STARStudent = 100%! A colourful and bright poster to help teachers improve marking, making it easier for all. #GetYourLearnOn Supplementary Resource: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/whole-school-literacy-marking-code-classroom-posters-all-levels-11685004 *************************************************************************************** If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email allroundresources@gmail or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help! ***** Be sure to follow me, to keep update with my most recent uploaded resources! *****

Women's History - Gertrude Bell - Starter/Form Activity

Women's History - Gertrude Bell - Starter/Form Activity

A simple starter (or tutor time activity) which was used during Women's History Month. The class are given a series of facts about Gertrude Bell, and asked to sketch what they think the person looks like. Most will draw an Indiana Jones type character. After reavealing to them that it was describing a woman, it was used as a link in women's history and also in this instance to look further at Gertrude Bell. The image on the final slide links to a recent film made of her life.
